With so many recreation options, it can be difficult to decide where to start. The Frisco Local Trails Map combines a detailed trail map on the front with a guide on the back featuring a curated selection of recommended hikes. Options range from the easy 0.8-mile Rainbow Lake Trail to the challenging Peak One climb, with an elevation gain of 3,800 feet. Each trail description includes distance, elevation gain, and a detailed elevation profile, helping you track progress through the region’s peaks and valleys.
The map is highly detailed at a scale of 1 inch = 1/2 mile, making every trail turn visible, and contours are clearly displayed even on steep terrain. In addition to trailheads and parking areas, the map shows difficulty ratings for each trail segment, so you can easily determine whether a trail is consistently moderate or includes short challenging sections.
Like all National Geographic Local Trails Maps, this map is printed on “Backcountry Tough” waterproof, tear-resistant paper for durability in the field and includes a full UTM grid to assist with GPS navigation.
