REGEARING

(verb: turning the gear you're done with into the gear you need)

You know the drill: reduce, reuse, recycle. Solid advice. Kind of boring to say out loud. So we made our own version, one that actually sounds like something you'd want to do on a Saturday.

Starting September 1st, Outbound Mountain Gear is launching consignment.

That “older” jacket from 2024 that still zips just fine. The skis that were "this season's" skis about four seasons ago, but you only used 5 times. The boots that fit your feet, but never felt “just right.” Bring them in, and once your gear sells you get paid!

Here's the deal:

Gently used winter gear in, good stuff out. Jackets, base layers, skis, boards, boots, packs, and more; if it kept you warm and upright on a mountain, we want to see it. We check it over, price it, and put it out on the floor. Once it sells, you get paid!

Why bother?

Because gear this good doesn't belong at the bottom of a closet, and it definitely doesn't belong in a landfill. Somebody out there needs exactly the jacket you've stopped wearing. Somebody's first backcountry trip is waiting on the boots you've outgrown. We just help gear find its next person and its next mountain.

So dig through the gear closet, the garage, the trunk of your car (we know it's in there.) Bring us the good stuff. Let's keep it moving.
