The Descender B.C. Splitboard is built for riders who want uncompromising big-mountain performance paired with backcountry freestyle capability. Its directional freeride shape delivers the stability and power needed to charge steep, exposed lines, while the extended tail provides control and confidence for switch landings.
Now updated with d3o® dampening, the Descender offers even greater vibration absorption and stability at high speeds. With no speed limit and a clear focus on best-in-class performance, this board inspires confidence in the most demanding terrain.
Power Bumps™ at the inserts create additional contact points for exceptional grip and security on icy or technical sections. A lightweight, responsive core keeps swing weight low for freestyle-oriented riding in the backcountry, combining featherweight paulownia with full-length poplar and ash laminates.
Double ash stringers, paired with rubber and d3o® dampening, eliminate chatter when straight-lining icy faces, resulting in a smooth, controlled ride at speed. The Descender B.C. was awarded Editor’s Selection 2021 by Splitboard Journal and is available in two wide splitboard versions.

Stranda snowboards combine camber with tip and tail rocker for balanced performance. The Descender features a unique parabolic 5 mm camber, slightly lifted under the rear foot for increased pop and ollie power, paired with low tip and tail rocker for smooth turn initiation and reliable float.
Stranda Snowboards blends ash with lighter woods such as poplar and paulownia to create a high-performance, durable core. Ash provides excellent vibration dampening and long-lasting camber retention, extending the board’s lifespan. Poplar and paulownia reduce overall weight, while the use of premium natural materials helps minimize reliance on petroleum-based composites.
