The 45NRTH Dillinger 5 is a 26 x 4.6 fat bike tire for icy and snowy winter trails, with braced side lugs for cornering and a tubeless ready folding bead.

What it's for

45NRTH built the Dillinger 5 as the wider version of the Dillinger, so you can hold a line on icy, off camber singletrack. Taller side lugs improve cornering in snow.

Features

  • Braced side lugs: Each side lug is supported so it does not fold over in a corner
  • Directional center lugs: Shaped for low rolling resistance and for braking traction
  • Tight center spacing: Closely spaced center tread keeps speed on climbs

How it works

Studs: 45NRTH sells the 26 x 4.6 both with studs installed and as a studdable tire with empty stud pockets. The studded 26 x 4.6 versions carry 258 studs. Check whether the tire you receive has studs installed before riding on ice.

Tubeless: The folding bead is tubeless compatible, so you can run it with sealant or with a fat bike tube.

Compatibility

  • Fits: 26 in fat bike rims, 70 to 100 mm wide, per 45NRTH's suggested rim width
  • How to check yours: A 4.6 in tire needs a frame and fork made for 5 in class tires. Check clearance at the chainstays and the chain line.
