Over three unforgettable days, you'll gain critical avalanche safety skills while staying in a cozy backcountry hut surrounded by prime ski terrain.
This isn’t just a course—it’s an experience. You'll wake up in the mountains, ski tour out the door, and apply what you're learning in real time. With evening debriefs by the woodstove and sunrise tour plans over coffee, every part of this trip is part of your education.
Understand Avalanche Conditions: Learn how terrain, weather, and snowpack interact to create avalanche hazard.
Read and Use the Avalanche Forecast: Know how to plan your day around changing conditions and risk factors.
Recognize Avalanche Terrain: Identify features, slopes, and aspects where avalanches are most likely to occur.
Practice Companion Rescue: Use your beacon, shovel, and probe in realistic rescue scenarios right outside the hut.
