The BCA 2 Meter Ruler is a folding fiberglass ruler for measuring snowpack depth and layers in a snow pit. It weighs 130 g.

What it's for

When you dig a snow pit you record the total depth and where each layer sits. This ruler stands against the pit wall so you can read those heights, and it measures the columns you isolate for stability tests.
