The DT Swiss Revolution is a round, double butted J-bend spoke with 2.0 mm ends and a 1.5 mm center. It is sold here as a single black spoke in the length you choose.

What it's for

Use this to replace a broken spoke or to build a wheel where you want to save weight. DT Swiss positions the Revolution as the low weight round spoke in its range.

How it works

Double butted: The spoke is 2.0 mm at the head and thread, where the stress is, and cold forged down to 1.5 mm through the middle. The thin center saves weight and lets the spoke stretch a little under load.

Compatibility

• Hubs: J-bend (hooked) spokes for hubs with flange holes. Not for straight pull hubs.
• Nipples: 2.0 mm thread (FG 2.3)
• Electric bikes: DT Swiss approves this spoke for electric bikes up to 32 km/h or 250 W

• Lengths stocked: 269, 271, 272, 273, 274, 275, 276, 278, 279, 281, 282, 283, 284, 285, 286, 287, 290, 292, 293, 294, and 295 mm
• How to check yours: Measure an intact spoke from the same side of the same wheel, from the inside of the J-bend to the end of the thread. Drive side, non drive side, and front spokes are often different lengths.

• Nipples: sold separately. Thread is 2.0 mm (FG 2.3), so use nipples made for 2.0 mm spokes.
• Correct length: spoke length depends on your rim ERD, hub flange dimensions, spoke count, and lacing pattern. Calculate it before you buy, or have OMG's bike shop measure and build the wheel.
