The Freetour 2.0 Second Ski Kit sets up a second pair of skis for a Cast Freetour system you already own. It supplies the parts that stay on the ski. You move your toes over and add a second pair of Look Pivot heels.

What it's for

The costly parts of a Freetour are the tech toes and alpine toe pedestals, and both slide off the ski. This kit gives you the mounted parts for another pair of skis so one set of toes can serve two pairs.

How it works

What moves between skis: the tech toes and the alpine toe pedestals

What stays on each ski: the Cast toe base plates and the heel assemblies from this kit, plus a Look Pivot heel

Heels: Cast says the Pivot heels should not be swapped regularly, so you need a second pair. Threaded inserts that let you unscrew the heels are described by Cast as a last resort and for the heels only

Compatibility

  • Requires: an existing Freetour Pivot system with tech toes and alpine pedestals
  • Heels: Look Pivot 15 or 18, or Rossignol FKS 15 or 18, supplied by you
  • Hole pattern: same as Look Pivot bindings
  • Boots: need toe tech inserts and the matching AFD

Setup and installation

  • Mounting: same process as the Freetour Upgrade Kit. Must be done by a trained ski technician with the proper tools and jig. OMG's shop can mount and test bindings

Specs

  • Weight: 363 g

In the box

  • Cast toe base plates: 2
  • Cast heel assemblies with climbing risers and brake retainers: 2
  • Binding screws for mounting

You will also need

  • Look Pivot 15 or 18 heel pieces (not included)
  • Your existing alpine toe pedestals and tech toes (not included)

Warning

If you are not a properly trained ski technician with the proper tools and a jig, you must have your bindings mounted by an authorized Look or Cast dealer. All bindings must be properly adjusted for boot sole length, height, weight, and release preference before use.
