This is a used Hestra Fall Line mitt in size 10, sold through OMG ReGear. The Fall Line is a short cuff leather mitt for freeride skiing and snowboarding with a removable liner.

What it's for

Cold resort and backcountry days. The short neoprene cuff is made to sit inside your jacket sleeve. Hestra rates the current Fall Line mitt 7 out of 8 for warmth.

How it works

Outseams: The seams are sewn on the outside of the glove, so nothing presses on your fingers inside. Hestra says this adds comfort and improves pole grip.

Removable liner: The liner pulls out so it dries faster and can be washed. The liner has five separate fingers inside the mitt shell.

G-Loft insulation: A thin polyester fiber insulation with high insulating capacity for its thickness.

Impregnated cowhide: The leather shell is treated to resist water. It is not a waterproof membrane, so the leather needs regular balm to keep shedding moisture.

Sizing and fit

• How to measure: Wrap a measuring tape around your hand just below the knuckles, leaving out the thumb. With no tape, use a string and measure the string against a ruler. Hestra posts a size guide on each product page.

Care and service

• Cleaning: Wipe stains with a damp cloth and a high fat soap. Do not machine wash leather gloves.
• Drying: Stand the gloves upright to dry.
• Liners: Wash removable liners separately and air dry them flat. Do not turn a liner that is sewn in inside out.
• Conditioning: Once the leather is fully dry, rub in Hestra Leather Balm to keep it supple.
