CushCore Pro is a foam tire insert that sits inside a tubeless tire, between the rim and the tread. This is a single 29 in insert with one valve, for 2.1 to 2.6 in tires on rims with a 22 to 35 mm inner width.
CushCore Pro is the original CushCore insert and the one the brand recommends for most wheels, terrain and riders in trail and all mountain riding. It lets you run lower tire pressure without the tire folding in corners or the rim taking hits.
Rim cushion: The foam forms a layer between the rim and the tire. When the tire bottoms out on a rock, the foam takes the hit, which prevents pinch flats and rim damage. CushCore states it reduces impact force from big hits by 50%.
Sidewall support: The insert presses outward against the tire sidewalls. CushCore states this gives 35% more sidewall stability, which stops the tire from squirming in corners.
Damping: CushCore states the insert improves suspension performance by 16%, gives a 12% smoother ride, and reduces rolling resistance by 3%.
