How it works

Aluminum: the lower weight choice. DT Swiss lists aluminum Standard nipples from 20 g for 64 pieces.

Brass: heavier and more resistant to rounding and corrosion. DT Swiss recommends brass nipples for electric bikes.

Compatibility

• Spoke thread: DT Swiss makes Standard nipples for 1.8 mm (FG 2.0), 2.0 mm (FG 2.3), and 2.34 mm (FG 2.6) spokes. Most spokes are 2.0 mm. Confirm the thread and length of the nipples in stock before you buy.
• Lengths made by DT Swiss: 12, 14, 14.5, and 16 mm
• Electric bikes: approved up to 32 km/h or 250 W, with brass recommended
