Easton Microfiber Tape is drop bar handlebar tape built from three layers: an adhesive gel backing, a shock absorbing foam, and a microfiber cloth surface. This is the black version.

What it's for

Bar tape is the contact point between your hands and a drop handlebar. Easton built this tape to reduce road buzz while still letting you feel the road, which suits road and gravel riders who want cushion without a soft, vague grip.

How it works

Gel backing: An adhesive gel layer sits against the bar and holds the tape in place.

Foam layer: A shock absorbing foam layer adds cushion over the gel.

Microfiber surface: The outer layer is a microfiber cloth. Easton states it does not get squishy or slippery the way traditional gel tape can.

Setup and installation

• Fit: Wrap from the bar end toward the stem with even overlap. OMG's bike shop can wrap bars for you.
