The Garmin Varia RCT715 is a rear facing bike radar, taillight, and camera in one unit. It alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind and records your ride.

What it's for

The RCT715 mounts at the back of the bike. The radar tells you when a vehicle is coming up behind you, the light makes you more visible, and the camera keeps a video record in case something happens.

How it works

Radar: Gives visual and audible alerts for vehicles approaching from behind, up to 153 yards away.

Taillight: Garmin states the light can be seen up to a mile away. Modes are solid, peloton, night flash, and day flash.

Camera: Records continuously at up to 1080p at 30 frames per second.

Incident recording: If an incident is detected, footage from before, during, and after the event is saved automatically.

Compatibility

• Displays: Alerts show on compatible Garmin Edge computers, compatible Garmin smartwatches, or your phone through the Varia app.
• Third party apps: When paired with a phone it works with select apps such as Ride with GPS.
