The Hope Mount M is a machined aluminum brake adapter that spaces a post mount caliper out by 40 mm of rotor size. On a 160 mm post mount it fits a 200 mm rotor. On a 180 mm post mount it fits a 220 mm rotor.

What it's for

Frames and forks have brake mounts made for one rotor size. To run a bigger rotor for more braking power and heat capacity, the caliper has to sit farther from the axle. This adapter does that.

• How to check yours: Find the native rotor size of your fork or frame mount in the maker's specs, then add 40 mm. Also check the maximum rotor size your fork or frame allows.
