Jagwire Basics Road Brake Pads are one piece molded replacement pads for road rim brakes. They mount with a threaded post.

What it's for

These are straightforward replacement pads for a road bike with rim brakes. A molded pad is a single piece: the rubber and the mounting post are one unit, so you replace the whole pad when it wears out. Basics is Jagwire's entry level line, below Sport, Pro, and Elite.

Compatibility

• Fits: road rim brakes that take a threaded post pad
• How to check yours: look at your current pad. If it is held to the brake arm by a threaded stud with a nut or bolt, it is a threaded post pad

Setup and installation

• Alignment: set the pad so it contacts the rim's braking surface squarely and does not touch the tire
• Service: OMG's bike shop can install and align brake pads
