Jagwire Sport Organic disc brake pads for Magura 4 piston brakes, part number DCA706. They use a resin based compound on a steel backing plate.

What it's for

These are replacement pads for Magura's 4 piston calipers. Jagwire says the Sport Organic pad gives good stopping power while keeping noise down, with a positive brake feel and smooth modulation. Jagwire recommends it for dry conditions and for riders who like more initial grab.

How it works

Organic compound: a resin based friction material. It bites quickly and runs quietly

Tradeoff: Jagwire states that organic pads are quieter but less durable than other pad types

Steel backing plate: the compound is mounted to a steel plate

Compatibility

  • Fits: Magura MT5, MT5e, MT7, MT7 Pro, and MT Trail (front caliper)
  • Rotors: an organic pad is the type to use on rotors labeled for resin pads only
  • How to check yours: the model is printed on the caliper or the lever. The MT Trail uses this pad only in its front caliper

Setup and installation

  • Service: OMG's bike shop can install pads and check rotor wear

Specs

  • Compound: organic (resin)
  • Backing plate: steel
  • Performance level: Sport
  • Jagwire part number: DCA706

Warning

If a brake rotor is labeled 'For Resin Pads Only', ONLY use organic / resin pad compounds, Semi-Metallic, E-Bike, and Sintered compounds are NOT compatible.
