The Jones Frontier 2.0 Splitboard is a directional freeride splitboard with a mid soft, friendly flex. Jones redesigned it for 2026 as a board for riders taking their freeriding into the backcountry.
The Frontier 2.0 Split is for riders who want one approachable splitboard for powder and variable backcountry snow. The directional shape and setback stance add float, and the softer flex keeps it easy to handle.
Split and tour: The board separates into two halves. With climbing skins on the bases and your bindings in tour mode, each half works like a ski for the climb. At the top you join the halves with the board clips and mount the bindings across the seam in ride mode.
Freeride CamRock profile: Camber under your feet for edge hold, a longer rocker in the nose and a shorter rocker in the tail for float and easier turning in soft snow.
Traction Tech: Low Traction Tech puts three equal bumps along each edge, at the front binding, the board center and the back binding, for added edge grip.
3D Contour Base: The base is beveled like a spoon at the nose and tail, starting just before the contact points. It lets snow deflect away from the tip and makes the edges less catchy. On this board Jones lists a medium contour with 4 mm of bevel in the nose and 0 to 4 mm in the tail.
Clips: Karakoram Ultra Clips 1.0 join the halves and are adjustable, so you can keep even compression as the board ages. Karakoram tip clips made of ABS swing closed at the tip and tail.
