The Jones Mountain Twin Split is a directional twin splitboard that Jones calls the backcountry twin. It is made for touring and for freestyle riding on the way down.
Choose the Mountain Twin Split if you want a splitboard that still rides like a twin: equal tip and tail widths, no taper and a centered stance, so it is at home riding switch, jumping and slashing in the backcountry.
Split and tour: The board separates into two halves. With climbing skins on the bases and your bindings in tour mode, each half works like a ski for the climb. At the top you join the halves with the board clips and mount the bindings across the seam in ride mode.
CamRock profile: Camber between the feet with rocker toward the tip and tail.
Directional twin shape: Tip and tail are the same width with 0 mm of taper and 0 cm of setback. The tip is slightly longer than the tail.
3D Contour Base: The base is beveled like a spoon at the nose and tail, starting just before the contact points. It lets snow deflect away from the tip and makes the edges less catchy. Jones lists a medium contour on this board.
