Jones Nomad Pro Precut Skins are splitboard climbing skins with a 70% mohair and 30% nylon plush, cut at the factory to fit Jones splitboards. Sizes are sold by letter group; this listing offers groups G, I and A.

What it's for

Climbing skins stick to the base of each splitboard half so you can walk uphill: the plush glides forward and grips when you push back. Precut skins need no trimming, so they are ready to use on the matching Jones board.

How it works

Plush: 70% mohair for glide and a supple feel, 30% nylon for grip and water repellency.

Glide Tech: A coating that lowers friction on each fiber so cold fresh snow and warm wet snow are less likely to stick.

Ever Dry: A treatment that keeps the plush from soaking up water and limits snow and ice build up under the skin.

Rubber backing: A laminated rubber layer keeps the skin from getting waterlogged, which helps the glue keep holding.

Universal Tip Clip: Fastens the skin to the tip of the split ski. Jones states it works with any board shape and all splitboard brands.

Quick Tension Tail Clip: Jones splitboards have a notch in the tail of each half. The tail clip slides into the notch and needs only a one time length adjustment.

• Size groups: Each letter matches specific Jones models and lengths. Jones publishes the chart on its skins page and lists a Skins Group on each board's spec table.
• How to check yours: Find your board model, length and model year on Jones's chart and buy that letter. The letter for a given board can change between model years, so check the year too.
