The Women's Stratos Split suits riders who tour often and want one board for firm snow, steep terrain and deep days. It has a medium, lively flex and a tapered shape with a setback stance.
Split and tour: The board separates into two halves. With climbing skins on the bases and your bindings in tour mode, each half works like a ski for the climb. At the top you join the halves with the board clips and mount the bindings across the seam in ride mode.
Freeride CamRock profile: Camber under your feet for edge hold, a longer rocker in the nose and a shorter rocker in the tail for float and easier turning in soft snow.
Traction Tech: High Traction Tech puts three bumps on each edge, at the front binding, the board center and the back binding. The middle bump is the largest, for grip on firm snow.
3D Contour Base: The base is beveled like a spoon at the nose and tail, starting just before the contact points. It lets snow deflect away from the tip and makes the edges less catchy. Jones lists a high contour here, with 7 mm of bevel in the nose and 0 to 7 mm in the tail.
Taper: The tail is 10 mm narrower than the nose, which helps the tail sink and the nose float.
