The Karakoram UltraClip 2.0 is a splitboard clip that clamps the two board halves together in two directions. This listing is the version with M5 thru mount hardware.

What it's for

Board clips sit along the seam between your bindings and hold the halves of a splitboard together in ride mode. Karakoram's Active Joining clips preload the halves against each other so the board bends and twists like a solid snowboard.

How it works

2D clamping: The clip clamps both perpendicular and parallel to the seam.

Set screw adjustment: A set screw lets you add or remove tension in the clip, which is useful as a board wears in.

Compatibility

• Hardware options from Karakoram: M5 thru mount, top mount M5 coarse thread, and top mount M5 fine thread
• Coarse thread top mount: For boards with coarse thread M5 x 0.8 inserts at the clip positions
• Thru mount: For boards where the clips bolt through the board with flathead screws and lock nuts
• How to check yours: Look at your current clips. If screws thread into the board from the top, it is top mount. If there are nuts on top and screw heads in the base, it is thru mount. OMG can check and install.

Care and service

• Hardware: Karakoram says clips need no maintenance beyond checking that the hardware is tight
• Ice: Keep the inside edge of the board clear of ice so the clips close fully
