The Mammut Nirvana 35 is a 35 L snow sports backpack that Mammut builds for freeriding and lift supported ski touring. A full rear zipper opens the main compartment from the back panel.

What it's for

Mammut rates the Nirvana 35 highest for freeriding, with ski touring and everyday use behind that. It carries avalanche safety gear in a front pocket and skis or a snowboard on the outside.

How it works

Rear access: a full zipper on the back panel opens the main compartment, so you can get to gear while skis or a board stay strapped to the front

Avalanche gear pocket: a front pocket keeps shovel and probe separate and quick to reach

SOS label: emergency instructions are printed inside the pack

Features

• Ski carry: diagonal or A frame
• Snowboard: attachment included
• Helmet carrier: integrated
• Ice tool and pole attachments: included
• Hydration: compatible with a hydration system
• Main fabric: recycled

Setup and installation

• Avalanche gear: pack shovel and probe in the front pocket and wear your transceiver on your body
• Training: Avalanche rescue gear only helps if you know how to use it. Get training and practice with your gear regularly. OMG runs AIARE avalanche courses.
