The Maxxis Dissector is a trail tire designed with downhill racer Troy Brosnan to cut drag while keeping cornering control. This listing covers the 2.4 size in 29 in and 27.5 in with 3C MaxxTerra rubber and the EXO+ casing.

What it's for

Maxxis recommends the Dissector for dry to loose trail conditions across trail, enduro and downhill riding. It can go on the front, the rear, or both, depending on how much rolling speed you want against how much grip.

How it works

3C MaxxTerra: A triple compound tread that sits in the middle of the 3C family. It gives more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, with longer tread wear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, which makes it the all conditions trail choice.

EXO+: Medium duty protection. It combines a 60 TPI casing, the EXO layer in the sidewalls, and a small butyl insert around the bead to guard against rock damage and pinch flats.

Tubeless Ready (TR): Runs without a tube on a tubeless compatible rim with liquid sealant. That lets you use lower pressure for grip and reduces flats.
