The microSHIFT CS-H072 is a 7 speed, 12-28t cassette from the H-Series. It is all steel with a nickel plated finish and fits a standard HG freehub body.

What it's for

A replacement or upgrade cassette for 7 speed bikes with a cassette hub. microSHIFT builds the H-Series for durability, including the high torque of E-bike use and hard pedaling.

How it works

All steel with heat treatment: every cog is steel and goes through a multi stage heat treatment to resist wear.

Molded cogs: microSHIFT says the cogs are continuously molded, which it credits for durability and straightness.

No spider: the cogs are not carried on a separate aluminum spider.

• How to check yours: count your rear cogs to confirm 7, and confirm the wheel uses a cassette with a lockring on a splined freehub body, not a thread on freewheel.

Setup and installation

• A worn chain wears a new cassette quickly. Check or replace the chain when you fit a new cassette.
