The MSR MugMate is a reusable nylon filter basket with a lid that brews coffee or tea directly in your mug, with no paper filters to pack out.

What it's for

Brewing a single cup of coffee or loose tea at camp without carrying a separate brewer or paper filters. The low profile basket stores inside most mugs and cups.

How it works

Coffee: set the filter in your mug so the side wings rest on the rim, spoon in ground coffee, pour hot water through, and put the lid on if you want it to steep.

Tea: after brewing, lift the basket out and set it in the lid.

Compatibility

• Fits: most mugs and cups
• How to check yours: the wings need to reach across the rim, so measure the inside width of your mug against the 3.5 in filter width
