A 20 g threaded CO2 cartridge from MSW, sold individually. It screws into a threaded CO2 inflator head to fill a tire quickly on the trail or roadside.

What it's for

A CO2 cartridge is a single use source of compressed gas. With an inflator head it fills a tire in seconds, which is faster than a hand pump after a flat.

Compatibility

• Fits: MSW inflator heads and, per MSW, other brands' inflators
• Type: threaded. The cartridge neck screws into the inflator.
• Does not fit: inflators made only for unthreaded cartridges
• How to check yours: look inside the inflator head. If you see threads where the cartridge goes, it takes threaded cartridges.

Sizing and fit

• MSW also makes 25 g and 38 g cartridges. Larger tires need more gas. MSW publishes an inflation chart showing what each size fills.
