Muc-Off Bio Wet Lube is a chain lube for wet and muddy conditions, in a 50 ml (1.7 fl oz) drip bottle. It is vegetable oil based.

What it's for

A wet lube is a thicker oil that stays on the chain through rain, puddles, and mud, where a dry lube would wash off. The tradeoff is that it picks up more dirt, so it suits wet seasons and long wet rides and needs the chain wiped down more often. Muc-Off says this lube repels water, reduces friction, and can also be used on shifters, cables, and derailleurs.

Setup and installation

• Step 1: clean the chain thoroughly
• Step 2: make sure the chain is dry
• Step 3: apply a moderate amount to the inside of the chain links while turning the pedals backward
• Step 4: wipe off the excess
• Step 5: Muc-Off recommends letting it sit 3 to 4 hours before riding
