The kit includes a refillable 75ml bottle of Muc-Off Drivetrain Cleaner. This powerful cleaner can be sprayed directly onto your drivetrain or poured into the machine’s top reservoir, where it’s released with a convenient control button for precise and controlled application. Working together, the X-3 and the Drivetrain Cleaner tackle stubborn grease and grime from every angle for a thorough clean—even on heavily soiled chains.

Inside the machine, abrasive cleaning teeth and rotating brush wheels with 120 contact points scrub every surface of each chain link for a deep, consistent clean. Excess dirty fluid is then collected in a separate lower reservoir, keeping contaminants away from the chain and preventing grime from being recirculated.

Muc-Off Drivetrain Cleaner is fully biodegradable and can be safely disposed of down the drain if you’ve previously used one of Muc-Off’s bio chain lubes.
