Nikwax TX.Direct Spray-On adds water repellency to the outer fabric of breathable waterproof clothing and revives breathability. It is the version for garments with wicking liners. This is the 300 ml bottle.

What it's for

Restoring the durable water repellent (DWR) finish that wears off waterproof jackets, pants and gloves over time. Because you spray only the outside, the treatment stays off the wicking liner, which needs to keep absorbing moisture. For garments with no wicking liner, Nikwax points you to TX.Direct Wash-In.

How it works

Fiber treatment: leaves a flexible water repellent treatment on individual fibers, so water beads on the face fabric while moisture vapor still passes through.

No heat needed: Nikwax states it works without tumble drying.

Compatibility

• Recommended for: GORE-TEX, Sympatex, eVent and similar waterproof breathable fabrics

Setup and installation

• Step 1: clean the item first with Nikwax Tech Wash
• Step 2: shake the bottle and protect your work surface from overspray
• Step 3: spray evenly onto the clean, wet item from 6 in (15 cm)
• Step 4: wait 4 to 5 minutes, then wipe off any surplus with a damp cloth
• Step 5: hang dry, or tumble dry on a low setting if the care label allows
