The Osprey Quick Connect Kit installs on any 0.25 in (6.35 mm) hydration hose so you can disconnect and reconnect the hose easily. It includes an extra male connection piece and hose for hooking up a water filter.

What it's for

Pulling your reservoir out to refill without unthreading the hose from your pack, and filling the reservoir through a water filter in the backcountry.

How it works

Release: On Osprey's Hydraulics quick connect you press the red release button to separate the reservoir from the hose and bite valve.

Reconnect: Push the two halves together. Osprey's manual says an audible click confirms the connection.

Filter use: A water filter can attach directly to the quick connect, which is what the extra male piece and hose in this kit are for.

Compatibility

• Fits: Any 0.25 in (6.35 mm) hose
• How to check yours: Osprey Hydraulics hoses are 0.25 in (6.35 mm). For other brands, measure the hose.

Care and service

• After each use: Osprey's Hydraulics owner's manual says to rinse the reservoir system after every use.
• Washing: Use warm soapy water. The manual says not to use bleach or boiling water.
