The Problem Solvers Backstop is a clamp on cable housing stop for frames that lack the stop you need. This one fits a 1 1/8 in (28.6 mm) tube and has two cable positions.

What it's for

Cable housing has to end against a fixed stop so the inner cable can pull. If your frame has no stop where you need one, or the existing guide is the wrong type, the Backstop clamps around the tube and gives the housing a place to seat.

How it works

Hinged clamp: the clamp opens on a hinge, so it goes on without removing anything else from the tube.
