The Gea is Scarpa's women's backcountry boot for skiers who want one boot for both the climb and the descent. It walks in a released cuff on the way up and locks for skiing on the way down.

How it works

Speed Lock MLT ski/walk mechanism: a lever on the back of the cuff. Open, the cuff pivots freely for walking and skinning. Closed, the cuff locks to the shell for skiing

Closure: an upper buckle, the HRS strap, the Wave M-LITE closure over the foot, and a power strap

Pebax tongue: the tongue sets the forward flex, rated 100

Intuition Pro Flex Touring Women's liner: a thermoformable (heat moldable) liner that shapes to your foot and lower leg

Vibram Cayman LT outsole: a lugged rubber sole certified to ISO 9523, the touring boot sole standard
