The Sea to Summit Evac Compression Dry Bag is a roll top dry bag with four compression straps and an air permeable, waterproof base that lets trapped air out as you cinch it down, so it needs no purge valve.

What it's for

Shrinking soft, bulky gear such as a sleeping bag or insulated jacket while keeping it dry. Sea to Summit names bikepacking and sea kayaking as typical uses.

How it works

eVac base: the base panel is 70D eVent fabric, which is waterproof but lets air pass. As you tighten the straps, air is pushed out through the base while water stays out.

Compression: four straps, two with ladder lock buckles and two with side release buckles, pull the lid down evenly.

Closure: a non wicking roll top made of Hypalon closes with a Field Repair Buckle, which can be swapped out without sewing if it breaks.

Warning

Avoid submersion since water can seep through the roll-top closure of any dry bag.
