The Shimano CUES RD-U4000 is a 1x9 speed rear derailleur for LINKGLIDE cassettes with a 41T to 46T largest cog. It is rated for electric bikes.

What it's for

A durable rear derailleur for trail, gravel, and city bikes on Shimano's CUES 9 speed system.

How it works

LINKGLIDE: Shimano's drivetrain design built for long wear life and smooth shifts under load.

SHIMANO SHADOW RD: a low profile design that tucks the derailleur under the cassette so it does not hit the chainstay or trail obstacles.

Spring tension and geometry are tuned to reduce dropped chains.
