What it's for

SockGuy builds its crew height socks for riding on or off the road, and also lists hiking, skating, boarding, field sports, work, and everyday wear as uses. The 6 in cuff sits above the ankle, so it covers the lower leg under bike shoes, trail shoes, or boots.

How it works

TurboWool: SockGuy's yarn made of 50% merino wool and 50% polypropylene. SockGuy states it is five times stronger than merino wool alone

Insulation: the wool blend is itch free and is meant to feel warm in winter and cool in summer

Shrink resistant: the blend is made to hold its size through washing

Moisture wicking: the yarn moves sweat away from the skin

Easy-Fit cuff: built to stay up on the leg instead of sliding down

Heel and toe: double stitched nylon for durability

Stretch-to-Fit sizing: the knit stretches so each of the two sizes covers a wide range of foot sizes

Sizing and fit

• Small/Medium: women's shoe 6 to 10, men's shoe 5 to 9
• Large/XL: women's shoe 10 to 14, men's shoe 9 to 13
• How to choose: pick by shoe size. If you are on the line between sizes, the knit stretches, so either can work

Care and service

• Washing: turn the socks inside out, then wash and dry on cool or low heat
• Fabric softener: do not use it
• Graphics: the design is knitted into the sock, so it does not fade off like a print
• Warranty: SockGuy covers its socks for one year from purchase
