The Spark R&D Whammy Bar is a retrofit climbing wire with a side arm lever for T1 bindings, here in size Regular. It replaces the stock climbing wire so you can change heights with a ski pole.

What it's for

Spark has built the Whammy Bar into T1 bindings since the 17/18 season. This part is for replacing one, or for retrofitting an older T1 binding that came with a plain climbing wire.

How it works

Pole operated: Use your touring pole to flip the bar down once for 12 degrees and down again for 18 degrees. Flip it back up to stow it.

Climbing wire and heel rest: T1 and ST bindings carry one climbing wire built into the baseplate. It drops onto the heel rest that is mounted to the board, at a low 12 degree or a high 18 degree position, or stows flat.

Compatibility

• Fits: All T1 bindings, including the T1 Burton Hitchhiker and Nitro Vertical bindings
• Does not fit: ST bindings. Those take the ST Whammy Bar.
