These SRAM Quiet/Organic pads are replacements for Avid Juicy hydraulic and BB7 mechanical disc brakes.

What it's for

Organic pads suit riders who want strong initial bite and quiet braking. For steep descents, heavy use, or wet and muddy conditions, SRAM points riders to sintered pads.

How it works

Organic pads: a blend of organic materials and resin. They bite sooner, run quieter, and bed in faster than sintered pads, but wear faster in wet and muddy conditions.

Sintered (metallic) pads: SRAM's option for heavy duty use, steep descents, and wet or muddy riding.

Compatibility

• Fits: Avid BB7, Avid Juicy
• How to check yours: match the pad shape to your caliper using SRAM's Disc Brake Pad Identification chart, or compare with your old pads

Care and service

• Check pad wear monthly, more often in sandy or dirty conditions
• Replace when: pad material and backing plate together measure 3 mm or less
• Bed in new pads and rotors before riding hard. SRAM's bed in process takes about 10 minutes
• If you change pad compound, SRAM says to replace the rotors too
