Stan's Original Tubeless Sealant in a 1000 ml bottle. It seals punctures up to 6.5 mm (1/4 in) in tubeless road, gravel and mountain bike tires.

What it's for

The 1000 ml bottle suits riders with several bikes or anyone who refreshes sealant through the season. Stan's states that one liter seals up to 16 tires.

How it works

Sealing: Liquid sealant sloshes inside a tubeless tire. When something punctures the tire, escaping air carries sealant into the hole, where it plugs it. Stan's rates the Original formula for punctures up to 6.5 mm (1/4 in).

Service life: It stays liquid in the tire for 2 to 7 months. Once it dries it no longer seals, so it has to be topped up. In arid climates, check the level more often.

Cold weather: The formula includes anti freeze agents and works down to -20°F.

Setup and installation

• Shake first: Shake the bottle well before you pour so the sealing particles are mixed in
• Adding sealant: Pour it into the tire before seating the last section of bead, or remove the valve core and add it through the valve
• Shop service: OMG's bike shop can set up tubeless tires and refresh sealant

Care and service

• Storage: Keep the bottle sealed, in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from extreme temperatures
