The Token BB841PS is a press fit bottom bracket for BB86, BB89.5, and BB92 frames and Shimano HollowTech II 24 mm cranks.

What it's for

The bottom bracket holds the bearings your crank spins on. This one presses into the frame's bottom bracket shell and carries a Shimano HollowTech II style crank with a 24 mm axle.

How it works

Shell: the cups are made from a combination of fiber and plastic. Token says this lets them be machined precisely for a close fit in the frame, which helps reduce creaking.

Sleeve: a tube between the cups helps keep water away from the bearings.

Bearings: high carbon steel bearings that Token polishes for smooth running and long life.

X-Seal: Token's seal design is meant to keep dirt and water out of the bearings with little added friction. The bearings contact the crank axle directly.

Compatibility

• Frame: BB86, BB89.5, or BB92 with a 41 mm shell inside diameter and a width of 86.5 mm, 89.5 mm, or 92 mm
• Crank: Shimano style 24 mm axle (HollowTech II)
• Does not fit: 30 mm axle cranks, SRAM GXP (24/22 mm) cranks, or threaded bottom bracket shells
• How to check yours: measure the width of the bottom bracket shell and the inside diameter of the bore, or check your frame maker's spec. BB86 is common on road frames and BB92 on mountain frames.

Setup and installation

• Press fit bottom brackets need a bearing press to install and the correct tool to remove without damaging the frame. OMG's bike shop can install it.
