The Wolf Tooth Direct Mount Chainring for SRAM 3 bolt cranks is a 32 tooth single ring with 3 mm offset, which gives a 52 mm chainline for Boost frames.
This ring bolts straight to the back of a SRAM 3 bolt direct mount crank arm, with no spider. Use it to replace a worn ring, change tooth count, or correct chainline.
Drop-Stop tooth profile: The teeth alternate wide and narrow to match the wide and narrow gaps in a chain. That keeps the chain centered on the ring. Wolf Tooth says the wide teeth spread the load for longer wear and the narrow teeth leave room for mud to clear.
Offset sets chainline: Offset is how far the teeth sit inboard of the mounting face. Wolf Tooth lists 6 mm offset as a 49 mm chainline, 3 mm offset as 52 mm (Boost or Super Boost), and 0 mm offset as 55 mm (Boost short spindle, and what SRAM Transmission is built around).
