The Shimano SLX CS-M7100 is a 12 speed HYPERGLIDE+ cassette for MICRO SPLINE freehubs. This is the 10-51T version.

What it's for

The cassette for a Shimano SLX 12 speed trail drivetrain.

How it works

HYPERGLIDE+: tooth and chain shapes that let you keep pedaling while you shift, up or down the cassette.

BEAM SPIDER: an aluminum carrier holds the largest cogs. It cuts weight and stiffens the cassette.

MICRO SPLINE: a freehub body with many small splines. It allows the 10T small cog.

• Freehub: Shimano MICRO SPLINE
